Mutts ‘n Moggies Motel is a family-run business open 365 days a year. Established in October 2009, the Motel was created from a lifelong passion for animals. Located on the same grounds as the family home, the property is also home to several dedicated team members who live on-site, ensuring constant care and attention. Many of our wonderful staff have been with us for years, contributing to the warm and welcoming atmosphere we’re known for.
Our owner, Marie Higgins, is a qualified and registered veterinary nurse. She trained and worked in a general veterinary practice in Reading for five years before moving into an emergency out-of-hours veterinary service, gaining extensive experience in handling urgent and complex cases. Marie is a devoted animal lover and treats every pet that stays with us as if they were her own.
